Miss WV Bikini USA Pageant Rules & Regulations
The contestant who is crowned Miss WV Bikini USA will receive an all-expense paid trip (airfare, hotel accommodations; double occupancy, transfers to and from the airport, and her entry fee) to the Miss Bikini USA National Pageant, November 6 – 10, 2008 in Cancun, Mexico. As part of her prize package, the winning contestant will also receive a photo shoot and a portfolio to prepare for the competition.
The contestant must be able to participate in the event and be able to travel to the National Competition to represent West Virginia. It is the contestants’ sole responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport for travel.
Contestants who are not eligible or who cannot fulfill their requirements or obligations will forfeit their winnings, and the prize(s) will be awarded to the next highest scoring contestant. Any monetary fund’s and/or prizes or winnings received by a contestant winner must be immediately returned.
Any contestant who is unable to fulfill any of the commitments as described above will forfeit their position and will be required to return any and all monetary fund’s and/or prizes awarded to them.
All participants must be eighteen (18) years of age or older in order to participate. Contestants must be a natural born female (birth certificate may be requested to show proof of sex). Contestants will be responsible for providing two (2) valid forms of ID for proof of age. Contestant must not have been convicted of a felony crime.
All participants must arrive no later than 6:00 PM to the venue to register and go through a preliminary practice/walk through.
Contestants are not permitted to wear any brand associated apparel during the competition; i.e. Budweiser or Miller t-shirts, Hawaiian Tropic shirts or apparel. We suggest not affiliating yourself with any particular brand or logo.
No one will be allowed to participate or compete who is thought to be under the influence or who was witnessed to drinking or using drugs prior to the start of the event. Anyone who has been drinking or taking drugs will not be allowed to participate and will be immediately disqualified. No refunds will be issued to persons who have been disqualified. This will apply before and after the competition.
No one will be allowed in the dressing room except authorized personnel and contestants. Contestants are encouraged to bring friends and family for support; but no one other than contestants will be permitted in the dressing room area. Do not bring any small children with you.
Absolutely NO thong or G-string swimsuits will be allowed. No sheer or see through suits will be permitted. Your swimsuit must cover a minimum of four (4) inches on your backside. No flashing is allowed. Period.
Contestants are not permitted to dance, wiggle or remove any clothing from your body at any time. This is a swimsuit pageant, not a strip club.
Please conduct yourself with dignity and respect. We ask that all contestants respect the ideas and wishes of other contestants. We reserve the right to inspect anyone’s swimsuit prior to competition, and disqualify any contestant whose apparel does not meet criteria. Judgment will be made by the pageant director, and any decisions are final.
Contestant understands and agrees that all decisions of the judges are final and irrevocable, and that the contestant will abide by all regulations and guidelines.
Contestants understand that photo, video and/or live video or radio broadcasts or other imagery may be in production during the contest. The contestants further understand that the promoter has no control or influence either express or implied regarding images provided by the general public, media, judges, or any other entity that may be in attendance during the contest. The images taken by the promoter/event coordinator or their representatives are the sole property of the promoter and may be used by the promoter at their discretion for publicity purposes in the media, website or printed literature.
Under no circumstances will any contestant be discriminated against for any reason. This includes but is not limited to race, religion, sexual orientation or age.
We reserve the right to refuse admittance to anyone who may enter our competition for any reason and reserve the right to update these rules accordingly at any date, without written notice.
