Preliminary Miss WV Bikini USA Competitions
Contestants can register for a local preliminary event on-line or register on-location at one of the many venues and establishments that will be hosting a Miss WV Bikini USA event throughout the year. The winner of each Preliminary Event will advance to the State Finals. Contestants may register in as many preliminary events as they would like, but once they have won a preliminary competition, they may only complete in the State Finals.
Preliminary Competition
Each competition will consist of three rounds of judging; two on-stage rounds and one off-stage round. Contestants must compete in all areas of competition.
PHOTOGENICS
All contestants must turn in two photographs to be judged. Judges will be looking at the photogenic ability of each of the contestants. Attire of the contestant will not be judged.
CASUAL WEAR / CLUB WEAR
Contestant will choose an outfit of choice and be judged on their stage presence, confidence, overall appearance and crowd appeal.
SWIMWEAR
Each contestant will be judged in their swimsuit of choice in overall appearance, proportionality, beauty, style, stage presence and crowd appeal.
Each contestant will appear on stage twice during the competition to be judged, and their photographs will be judged off-stage prior to the start of the stage competition.
After tabulation, all contestants will be brought on stage and the top three contestants will be announced.
Second Runner Up: Contestant will receive $50 in cash and be eligible to compete in the State Finals
First Runner Up: Contestant will receive $100 in cash and be eligible to compete in the State Finals
First Place: Contestant will receive $250 in cash and will represent that Preliminary Event at the State Finals August 15th and 16th, 2008

Q: What else may be worn during the competition?
A: The shoe style is up to the contestant. You may choose to wear high heels or other type of shoe. You may wear minimal jewelry or accessories. The hair style is the option of the contestant.
Q: What is the projected timeline of the pageant?
A: Registration and check-in begins at 6:00 PM. All contestants are required to arrive by 6:00 PM to allow sufficient time for check-in and follow by a pageant walk-through. The event should start approximately at 10:00 PM and should last about an hour.
Q: What are the pageant costs?
A: Each contestant is required to pay a $25.00 registration fee. The contestant may also be sponsored and have their contestant fee paid for them (i.e. company sponsor, family member, etc).
Q: What are the prizes for the pageant?
A: Prizes include cash, photo shoots, magazine shoots and tear sheet exposure, modeling advertisement jobs, trips, and be included in the 2009 Miss WV Bikini USA calendar. You can see a list of all of the prizes here.
